Five exhibition games involving the Brisbane Lightning have been announced. Their first game is against the Melbourne Mustangs on 23 April at Iceworld Boondall. The other four games were announced as part of the Newcastle Northstars 2022 season schedule with the first taking place in June. The total number of games the Lightning will play in 2022 is currently unknown as Australian Ice Hockey League and the Brisbane Lightning are yet to announce the full exhibition schedule.
