2022 Men’s U20 World Championships: Australia defeats South Africa

The Australian men’s national under-20 team have defeated South Africa 13–1 in their second game of the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division III tournament. Forward Riley Langille was named best Australian player of the match. In the other games of the day Turkey defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 6–4, Chinese Taipei beat Israel 6–4 and Mexico defeated Kyrgyzstan 4–1. Australia remains at the top of the Group B standings while Chinese Taipei moves into first place in Group A.

The teams have a rest day today and return on 25 July where Australia takes on Turkey for their final preliminary round game. The last time these two teams met was at the World Championships in 2020 where Australia won 3–2.
