Australians overseas 2021-22: United States (part 4)

Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2021-22 season. Today is Part 4 of 4 featuring Australians in the United States. The final part of this series, Australians in New Zealand, will be published following the end of the NZIHL season in October.

Tim Rye: Third season with Maryville University. Playing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association’s Division II Rye scored eleven points from his 18 games.

Sara Sammons: Third season with Anna Maria College. Playing in the NCAA’s Division III Sammons competed in 19 games, recording eleven points.

Samuel Tsao: First season playing for the Buffalo Regals and Millbrook School. With the Buffalo Regals Tsao played on their 16 & under AAA team in 16U AAA competition where he recorded five points from 26 games. Tsao also spent part of his season with Millbrook School playing in the United States High School Preparatory system where he competed in 24 games and recorded five points.

Nathan Walker: Third season with the St. Louis Blues organisation. Walker split his season between the Blues in the National Hockey League and the Springfield Thunderbirds in the American Hockey League. With the Blues Walker competed in played 34 games and recorded twelve points and with the Thunderbirds he recorded 44 points from 47 games. In July 2022 it was announced that Walker extended his contract into the 2023-24 season.

Arthur Wang: First season with Johns Hopkins University. Playing in the College Hockey Federation Wang recorded two points from his five games.
