Day 36 of the 2022 Australian Ice Hockey League season has finished with the Sydney Bears defeating the Sydney Ice Dogs at the Macquarie Ice Rink. With their win the Bears secure their third place on the standings while the CBR Brave remain at the top with 49 points. Competition resumes on 20 August with the Melbourne Ice hosting the Newcastle Northstars at the O’Brien Icehouse.
The game also served as the final match in the Wilson Cup series. The Sydney Bears claim the 2022 edition after winning all four games against the Sydney Ice Dogs during the season. The Wilson Cup is awarded to the winner of the regular season four game series between the two teams.
