The opening day of the 2022–23 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League season has finished with the Sydney Sirens defeating the Brisbane Lightning 8–3 at the Macquarie Ice Rink. With their win the Sirens sit at the top of the standings with three points. Competition resumes tomorrow with the Sirens hosting the Lightning in the second game of their double header.

  1. Good start from the Sirens in their title defence, while I also thought it was a quality start for Clutch’s coverage of the league. Consistent stream, good call and all the essential controls you would want for live sports streaming. They are ahead of what Paramount+ can produce to date.

    • Sirens had a good game, Lightning seemed to keep within reach for the second and third period. Hopefully they can improve for tomorrows game. Cluch is miles ahead of Paramount+, that streaming platform is terrible to use.
