The Perth Inferno have defeated the Brisbane Lightning 3–1 in the third-place game of the 2023 AWIHL playoffs at the O’Brien Icehouse. The Brisbane Lightning and Perth Inferno had advanced to the match after losing their semifinal games yesterday against the Sydney Sirens and Melbourne Ice respectively. The win gives the Perth Inferno their second third-place finish and first since 2019.
