The Sydney Ice Dogs have announced the re-signing of goaltender Jakob Doornbos for the upcoming 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Doornbos played 18 games for the Ice Dogs in 2022, recording a save percentage of 0.853 and a 6.80 goals against average. Since making his league debut in 2018 Doornbos has played in 19 AIHL games and averages a 0.872 save percentage and a 6.79 goals against average.
