The Sydney Ice Dogs have announced the signing of defender James Douchkov for the upcoming 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Douchkov spent 2022 playing for the Sydney Bombers in the East Coast Super League where he scored two goals and 14 assists from 20 games. More recently Douchkov joined the Sydney Sabres to play in the 2022–23 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League season where he recorded three assists in seven games.
