The Melbourne Ice have announced the re-signing of defender Jacob Laver for the upcoming 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Laver made his debut for the Ice in 2022 where he recorded four assists and six penalty minutes from 16 games. More recently he was part of the Australian men’s under-20 national team which won gold and promotion at the Division III tournament of the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championships.
