The Melbourne Ice have announced the re-signing of forward Kahu Joyce for the upcoming 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Joyce played 15 games for the Ice in 2022, recording five assists and 44 penalty minutes. Since making his league debut in 2018 he has competed in 49 AIHL games and recorded nine points. More recently Joyce was part of the New Zealand team that competed at the 2023 Trans-Tasman Clash and has been named on the New Zealand roster for upcoming 2023 World Championships.
