The Australian Ice Hockey League has named Melbourne Mustangs goaltender Liam Hughes as the most valuable player of the 2023 Goodall Cup playoffs. Hughes saved 98 of 101 shots in his team’s three wins over the playoff series and finished with a 0.970 save percentage. His three wins also included two shutouts, one against the Sydney Bears in the semifinal round, and one against the CBR Brave in the Final.
