The semifinal round of the 2023 East Coast Super League playoffs has finished with wins for the Newcastle Northstars and Sydney Bombers. Both teams now advance to tomorrow’s grand final which will be held at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium.
In the first semifinal the Newcastle Northstars defeated the Polyflor Raptors 4–3 at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium. The Northstars had qualified for the match after finishing the regular season in first place while the Raptors had qualified after finishing fourth. The second semifinal was held at the Macquarie Ice Rink and saw the Sydney Bombers defeat the Reach Rebels 3–2. The Bombers had qualified for the game following their second-place finish in the regular season and the Rebels had advanced after finishing third.
