Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) have released the roster for the Australian women’s under-18 national team which will compete in the upcoming 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament. The competition will take place from 8 January to 14 January 2024 in Jaca, Spain with Australia competing against Chinese Taipei, Norway, Poland, South Korea, and Spain.
Eight changes have been made to the roster that won their tournament in 2023. Ava Caruso, Olivia Gargano, Justine Kruhlak, Ava Pickering, Charlotte Rowe, Georgia Watts, and Brydie Wedesweiler will all make their debut in 2024. Georgia Watts was originally set to debut in 2023 but was sidelined with injury. Charlize Novatsis joins the team for the first time since 2022 after also missing last year due to injury.
The eight players not returning for 2024 include Nikita Aguirrezabal, Amber Bedell, Molly Lukowiak, Bella Ma, Courtney Mahoney, Elizabeth Marshall, Phoebe Roberts, and Madison Smith. Amber Bedell however has been named as one of the three reserve players.
