2024 Winter Youth Olympics’ Women’s 3-on-3 tournament: Hungary wins gold and Australia finishes in sixth place

The final day of the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics’ Women’s 3-on-3 ice hockey tournament has finished with Hungary defeating South Korea 10–2 to claim the gold medal and China defeating Italy 8–7 to secure bronze. Hungary had advanced to the gold medal game following yesterday’s semifinal win over Italy while South Korea had qualified after defeating China in the other semifinal.

The Australian team alongside Mexico, the Netherlands, and Turkey all ended their tournament two days prior after failing to advance from the group stage. Turkey was the best placed, finishing the tournament in fifth place, Australia came in sixth, Mexico in seventh, and the Netherlands in eighth.
