Day 17 of the 2023–24 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League regular season has finished with wins for the Melbourne Ice and Perth Inferno. Following today’s results, the Melbourne Ice and Perth Inferno both qualify for the 2024 AWIHL playoffs. The Perth Inferno also move up into second place on the standings, pushing the Adelaide Rush down to third. The Melbourne Ice meanwhile extend their lead at the top of the standings to 25 points, three clear of second place. Competition resumes tomorrow with the Perth Inferno hosting the Sydney Sirens at Cockburn and the Adelaide Rush take on the Melbourne Ice in Docklands.
