The Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League have announced their award winners for the 2023–24 season following today’s final and third-place game. The Perth Inferno picked up two of the five awards and the Adelaide Rush, Brisbane Lightning, Melbourne Ice, and Sydney Sirens all picked up one each.
Three fan voted awards were also presented by Hockey Hype Australia following the third-place game. The awards for assist, goal, and save of the season also included a $250 voucher which were donated by the Meyer family, Goodenough family, and Doğramacı family respectively.
League awards
- Finals Most Valuable Player: Danielle Butler (Melbourne Ice)
- Best Defender: Maya Tupper (Adelaide Rush)
- Best Forward: Sarah Edney (Sydney Sirens)
- Best Goaltender: Sasha King (Perth Inferno)
- Nellie Gee Rookie of the Year: Katie Meyer (Brisbane Lightning)
- Highest Points Scorer: Michelle Clark-Crumpton (Perth Inferno) – 40 points from 18 games
Hockey Hype Australia awards
- Assist of the Season: Natalie Ayris (Adelaide Rush)
- Goal of the Season: Sara Sammons (Perth Inferno)
- Save of the Season: Archie Smith (Adelaide Rush)
