2024 Trans-Tasman Ice Hockey Challenge: New Zealand levels the series with a Game 2 overtime

The Australian men’s national team have lost 1–2 following overtime to New Zealand in the second game of the 2024 Trans-Tasman Ice Hockey Challenge at the O’Brien Icehouse. New Zealand took the lead in the first period with a goal from Colin McIntosh before Australia responded in the second period with a goal from Jordan Kyros. With neither team able to score in the third period the match headed into overtime leading to Alex Regan scoring the winner for New Zealand. After two games the series is tied at one apiece after Australia won the opening game yesterday. Competition resumes tomorrow for the final game of the three-game series.
