Australian Women defeat the Piemont Rebelles in an exhibition game

The Australian women’s national team have defeated the Piemont Rebelles 2–0 in an exhibition game at the Stadio Olimpico del Ghiaccio in Pinerolo, Italy. Australia’s goals for the game were scored by Sharna Godfrey and Phoebe Roberts. The match was held as part of the team’s training camp before the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B tournament which starts on 1 April in Istanbul, Turkey. The Piemont Rebelles are one of the seven teams which compete in the Italian Hockey League Women, the top level of women’s ice hockey in the country.

Note: The game card incorrectly lists Australia as the women’s under-18 team.
