The Brisbane Lightning have announced the signing of Canadian goaltender Curtis Meger for the upcoming 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Meger spent the 2023–24 season playing for the University of Regina in the U Sports’ Canada West conference where he recorded a 0.874 save percentage and a 4.85 goals against average from eight games. Between 2014 and 2024 he has spent time playing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the U Sports system, and Western Hockey League.
