Perth Thunder announce two new signings and two re-signings

The Perth Thunder have added Finlay Gordon and Sean Hamilton to their roster for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Additionally, the club have re-signed Andrew Cox and Joshua Healey for another season.

Forward Andrew Cox, who had previously announced his retirement at the end of last year, played 24 games for the Thunder in 2023, scoring 13 goals and 23 assists. Since making his league debut in 2012 he has competed in 231 AIHL games and recorded 190 points.

Forward Finlay Gordon spent 2023 playing for the West Coast Flyers Blue in Ice Hockey WA’s Premier League where he recorded 57 points from 14 games. More recently he represented Australia at the 2024 IIHF U20 World Championships.

Forward Sean Hamilton spent 2023 playing for the Northern Chiefs in the Ice Hockey WA’s Premier League where he recorded eleven points from five games. Hamilton previously played in the AIHL between 2013 and 2019 where he competed in 101 AIHL games and recorded 20 points.

Forward Joshua Healey played eleven games for the Thunder in 2023, recording an assist and twelve penalty minutes. Since making his league debut in 2018 he has competed in 20 AIHL games and recorded one point.
