Melbourne Ice have announced the re-signing of Japanese goaltender Tatsunoshin Ishida for the upcoming 2025 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Ishida played 29 games for Melbourne in 2024, recording a 0.919 save percentage and a 2.79 goals against average.

During the AIHL’s offseason, Ishida initially signed with the Columbus River Dragons of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL), but was cut from their roster before playing a game. Ishida subsequently left Mississippi to sign with Iron City Forge of the American Premier Hockey League but was released by the club before making an appearance. Back in Japan, Ishida joined Shiga Blue Rise IHC to compete in the All Japan Ice hockey Championship (B). More recently, he joined Stars Kobe to play an exhibition game against his former club, the Yokohama Grits of the Asia League.
