The Melbourne Mustangs have released their roster for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Comparing to the 2025 roster, it includes twenty returning players and sixteen new additions, while twenty-three players are released.
The new players include Samuel Bartlett (from Melbourne Ice), Ryne Bodger, Callum Burns, Philippe Caron, Brody Crane, Matt Dorsey, Davide Gaeta, Noah Giesbrecht, Joey Hughes (from Melbourne Ice), Colin McIntosh, Yuki Sasaki, and Lachlan Sucher.
The players dropped Bradley Apps, Stephen Belic, Gavin Birchler, Tyerell Clare (to Sydney Bears), Todd Cutter, Liam Dallimore, Jarrod Downes, Nathan Dunkley, Tristan Fraser (to Melbourne Ice), Mitchell Humphries, Evan Khroustalev, Yuga Kikuchi, Anthony Kimlin (to Sydney Bears), Matthew Knox, Rafael Lakandula, Trevor Lord, Bryan Mackenzie, Matt Nikitin, Patrick O’Kane, Zack Phillips, Mac Roy, Vadim Virjassov, and Ty Wishart.
