The Newcastle Northstars have released their roster for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Comparing to the 2025 roster, it includes twenty-two returning players and eight new signings, while twelve players are released.
The new players include Aziz Baazzi (from Central Coast Rhinos), Calvin Bright, Thomas Garas, Santeri Haarala, Jayden Ryan, Adrien Sebag, Matúš Trnka (from Brisbane Lightning), and Akihide Watanabe.
The players dropped are Ryan Annesley (to Sydney Bears), Horrance Cheung, Devon Gatenby, Benjamin Kleineschay, Casey Kubara (to Canberra Brave), Karel Kubát, Tyrone Oxlade (to Sydney Bears), Josh Secomb, Charlie Smart (to Perth Thunder), Kim Tallberg, Arthur Wang, and Patrick Ward (to Central Coast Rhinos).
