Perth Thunder have signed Finnish defenceman Henri Auvinen for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Auvinen spent 2025–26 playing for Épinal Hockey Club in the FFHG Division 1, recording two goals and two assists from 30 games. He is the second player from Épinal to join Perth this season with Peter Hrehorčák also spending the 2025–26 with the team.
Between 2010 and 2026, Auvinen has spent time playing in the II-divisioona, Alps Hockey League, Champions Hockey League, Coppa Italia, Coupe de France, European Trophy, FFHG Division 1, HockeyAllsvenskan, HockeyEttan, Italian Hockey League, Ligue Magnus, Liiga, Mestis, Metal Ligaen, Polska Hokej Liga, Puchar Polski, and Suomen Cup. He is also a former member of the Finnish under-18 and under-12 national teams having competed in 44 games between 2010 and 2013.
