The Melbourne Ducks have signed American forward Sara Bayne for the 2026–27 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) season. Bayne spent 2025–26 playing for DEC Salzburg Eagles in the European Women’s Hockey League where she recorded five goals and six assists from 24 games. She also made four appearances for Salzburg in the Austrian Women’s Hockey League. Prior to joining Salzburg, Bayne had spent four seasons playing for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the NCAA’s Division I.
