Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2021-22 season. Today is Part 1 of 4 featuring Australians in the United States.
Declan Bronte: Second season with the Connecticut Chiefs. Playing in the Eastern Hockey League Bronte scored 13 points from 24 games.
Tyrone Bronte: Second season in the NCAA’s Division I. Playing for Michigan Tech, after moving across from University of Alabama in Huntsville, Bronte scored three points from 27 games.
Owen Dials: Fourth season with the Sabres Hockey Association. Playing on their 18 & under AA team in the North American Prospects Hockey League’s 18U division Dials recorded eleven points from 13 games. Dials also played his first season with Spartans Hockey in the United States High School, Illinois system where he competed in 29 games and recorded 20 points.
Lachlan Fahmy: Second season with Indiana Tech. Playing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Fahmy recorded two points from 26 games.
Alexandre Gracia: First season with the University of Utah. Playing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Gracia competed in two games, recording no points.
Ben Harpur: Third season with the Nashville Predators organisation. Harpur played 19 NHL games for the Predators recording one point and a –10 plus/minus. With their American Hockey League affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, Harpur played in six games, picking up five penalty minutes.
Chris Harpur: Fifth season with Niagara University. Playing in the NCAA’s Division I Harpur recorded 17 points from 35 games. In March 2022 Harpur signed with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL for the remainder of the 2021-22 season where he competed in ten games and recorded two assists.
Griffin Hart: First season with the Potomac Patriots. Playing on their 16 & under AAA team in the United States Premier Hockey League’s 16U division Hart scored 14 points from 23 games. Hart also competed in seven games for Forest Park/Hylton High in the United States High School, Virginia system where he recorded four points.
