Australian men’s U20 roster for 2020 World Championships

Ice Hockey Australia have released the roster of the Australian men’s under-20 national team for the upcoming 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division III tournament. The competition will take place from 13 to 19 January 2020 in Sofia, Bulgaria with Australia competing against Bulgaria, Chinese Taipei, Iceland, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey.

North Stars sign Smart, drop Davis

The Newcastle North Stars have announced the signing of goaltender Charlie Smart for the upcoming 2017 season. Smart spent last season playing for the Sydney Ice Dogs and has been playing for the Bozeman Icedogs of the North American 3 Hockey League in the offseason. The signing of Smart comes after last seasons starting goaltender Dayne Davis declined to re-sign citing interest from other clubs. Smart joins Nicholas Mizen on the roster. Mizen played five games last season for the North Stars and has been playing for the Steele County Blades of the United States Premier Hockey League’s Elite Division during the offseason.
