The Australian Women’s team have lost their second game of the 2014 IIHF Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament losing to Italy 2-6. Goaltender Jodie Walker was named best Australian player for the game. Australia who again suffered the largest defeat of the day remain last in the standings with zero points. The team now takes a days break before returning on Wednesday to take on New Zealand who are currently sitting in fourth spot with one point. In other games of the day South Korea was again forced into a shootout, defeating Poland 3-2 and Great Britain defeated New Zealand 2-0.
