The Australian Women’s team have won their third game of the 2014 IIHF Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament, beating New Zealand 3-2. Georgia Moore was named best Australian player of the game. With their first win of the tournament Australia move up to fifth place in the standings, two points ahead of New Zealand and trail tournament hosts Italy by six. Australia now take on fourth place Poland in their next game of the tournament. In the other games of the day Poland defeated Great Britain 4-1 and Italy beat South Korea 3-1.
