Australian inline team defeat Hungary at World Championships

The Australian national inline hockey team have won their second game of the 2015 IIHF World Championship Division I tournament, defeating Hungary 7-2. Melbourne Mustangs’ Sean Jones was named best Australian player of the match following his four point game which included a hat-trick. In other games of the day Latvia defeated Bulgaria 18-1, Croatia shutout Argentina 7-0 and Great Britain beat Austria 5-4. After the end of the second round Australia is sitting in first place in Group D, three points ahead of Hungary and Croatia, while Latvia now leads Group C. Australia take on Croatia today in their third game of the tournament. The two teams last met in the semifinals of the 2014 IIHF World Championship Division I tournament where Australia defeated Croatia 6-5 in overtime.
