The Australian men’s national under-20 team lost their second game of the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B tournament, losing to Spain 3-9. Forward Casey Kubara was named best Australian player of the match. In other games of the day Romania defeated Belgium 6-2 and Serbia shutout China 10-0. After the end of the second round Australia sit in fifth place, trailing leaders Romania by six points. The teams now have a rest day and return to the ice on Wednesday with Australia taking on Belgium.
