Australian U18 defeat Mjölby HC J18

The Australian men’s under-18 team have defeated Mjölby HC J18 in an exhibition game yesterday in Sweden. The Australian’s trailed at the end of the first period 0-1, however they responded in the second with a goal from Yannic Lodge, assisted by Aiden Sillato and Andrew Chen. At the end of regulation time the score was locked at 2-2 with Findlay Wood, assisted by Darcy Flanagan, scoring the Australian’s second. Australia won the game after four rounds of shootout with the only goal scored by Jake Riley. The team is currently in Sweden on a training camp before the start of the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B tournament in Novi Sad, Serbia which begins on 13 March.
