The Australian men’s national under-18 team have lost 4-8 to Serbia in their opening game of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B. In other games of the day the Netherlands beat Belgium 4-2 and China defeated Croatia 4-1. After the first round Australia sit last on the standings while Serbia leads the competition. Australia takes on the Netherlands today for their second game of the tournament.
