The Australian women’s national team have lost 1-6 to Slovenia in their third game of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament. In other games of the day North Korea beat Spain 2-1 following a shootout and Great Britain defeated Mexico 3-2 in overtime. At the end of the third round Australia remain last on the standings while Slovenia moves into first. The teams have a rest day today and return on Sunday where Australia take on Mexico. The last time these two teams met was at the 2018 World Championships Division II Group A tournament where Australia won 4-1.
