The CBR Brave have defeated the Newcastle Northstars 2–1 in game eight of the 2021 McCormack Cup. After eight games the Brave remain at the top of the standings, six points clear of the second placed Northstars. Competition resumes tomorrow the Brave again hosting the Northstars at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre.
