Sydey Bears announce two new signings and one re-signing

The Sydey Bears have announced the signing of two new players and one re-signing for the upcoming 2023 Australian Ice Hockey league (AIHL) season.

Dane Brumm joins the club as their fourth goaltender signing for 2023. Brumm previously spent three seasons between 2014 and 2018 playing for the Renfrew Timberwolves in the Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 (now the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League).

Defender Tyerell Clare re-joins the club for his seventh season. During 2022 he competed in 22 games and scored two goals and thirteen assists. Since making his league debut in 2015 he has played in 151 AIHL games and recorded 52 points.

Defender Shawn Rooke joins the club after serving as an assistant coach in 2022. Rooke previously spent time between 2013 and 2016 playing in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League and the Western Ontario Junior C Hockey League. He will also continue in his assistant coaching roll for 2023.
