Day 3 of the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League regular season has finished with wins for the Brisbane Lightning, CBR Brave, Perth Thunder and Sydney Bears. With their wins the Brisbane Lightning and Perth Thunder move to the top of the Rurak Conference and Hellyer Conference respectively. The Thunder also move into the lead on the league’s combined standings, equal on points with the Brisbane Lightning and Sydney Bears. Competition resumes tomorrow with games in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
Prior to the start of the match between the Adelaide Adrenaline and Sydney Bears a ceremony was held to induct former Australian national team player and Goodall Cup winner John Botterill into the Hockey Hall of Fame Australia. The induction was performed fellow honoured member Glen Foll.
