The Newcastle Northstars have announced the re-signing of Canadian forward Daniel Berno for the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Berno played 23 games for the Northstars in 2022, scoring 24 goals and 18 assists. Berno started the 2023 season with the Northstars on 15 April and currently has a goal and an assist from two games.
