The Newcastle Northstars have released their roster for the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Comparing to the Northstars’ 2022 roster it includes 20 returning players and 11 new signings while seven players are released.

The new players include Josh Adkins (from Bisons de Neuilly-sur-Marne), Tanner Butler (from Evansville Thunderbolts), Wehebe Darge (from CBR Brave), Zane Jones (from Innisfail Eagles), Riley Klugerman (from Hearst Lumberjacks), Matthew Lindsay (from Central Coast Rhinos), Melker Molund (from Hässelby Kälvesta J20), Matthew Price (from CBR Brave), Andrew Smardon, Thomas Wedesweiler and Maliq West.

While the dropped players are James Downie (to Sydney Bears), David-James Jeremy (to Central Coast Rhinos), Cameron Hughes (to Central Coast Rhinos), Travis Lang, Robert Malloy (to Central Coast Rhinos), Dash Quartarolo (to Central Coast Rhinos) and Richard Tesarik.
