The Sydney Bears have defeated Saint John’s University 3–2 in their scrimmage game at the Macquarie Ice Rink. Saint John’s University, who compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference of the NCAA’s Division III, are currently in Australia for an exhibition series which started on 21 May with a game against the Newcastle Northstars and concludes today with a game against the Sydney Ice Dogs.
