Jack Carpenter leaves the Melbourne Ice and joins the Melbourne Mustangs

Defender Jack Carpenter has signed with the Melbourne Mustangs for the remainder of the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season after it was announced that he had been released from his contract with the Melbourne Ice. Carpenter played ten games for the Ice between 16 April and 28 May, recording eleven assists, before requesting to be released from the club. He had re-joined the Ice for the 2023 season after spending a year with the Melbourne Ducks in the Pacific Hockey League. Prior to joining the Ducks Carpenter had spent two seasons with the Mustangs between 2011 and 2012 and seven with the Ice between 2013 and 2019.
