Forward Chris Schutz has left the Melbourne Ice due to family reasons. Schutz played 14 games for the club between 26 May and 23 July, recording 28 goals and 25 assists. At the time of his departure, Schutz led the Melbourne Ice in scoring and ranked fourth overall in league scoring.
