The Melbourne Mustangs have defeated the Sydney Bears 4–0 in their semifinal game of the 2023 Goodall Cup playoffs. Melbourne had qualified for the match after defeating the Brisbane Lightning in last week’s play-in round and Sydney had qualified after finishing the regular season in first place on the Hellyer Conference standings. Melbourne now advances to tomorrow’s Goodall Cup Final where they take on the winner today’s other semifinal against the CBR Brave and Perth Thunder.
