Lucy Parrington named Melbourne Ducks captain

The Melbourne Ducks have named Lucy Parrington as their captain ahead of their 2023–24 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) Exhibition Series. Parrington is a former member of the Melbourne Ice having played in over ten AWIHL seasons. She has also represented the Australian women’s national team at the IIHF World Championships on ten occasions between 2001 and 2017, recording 25 points from 45 games.

The Ducks’ Exhibition Series consists of six games which are being played as part of their bid to enter the AWIHL. The series gets underway on 20 October and 21 October with the Ducks taking on the Melbourne Ice at iceHQ.
