The Perth Inferno have defeated the Brisbane Lightning 3–1 in their semifinal game of the 2024 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League playoffs at the O’Brien Icehouse. Perth and Brisbane had qualified for the match after finishing the regular season in first and fourth place respectively. Perth now advances to the grand final where they will take on the winner of today’s other semifinal between the Adelaide Rush and Melbourne Ice. Brisbane meanwhile moves on to the third-place game between the loser of the other semifinal.
