Sydney Ice Dogs re-sign Doornbos, Musumeci, and two Kuleshovs

The Sydney Ice Dogs have announced the re-signing of Jakob Doornbos, Dmitri Kuleshov, Ivan Kuleshov, and Matt Musumeci for the upcoming 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season.

Goaltender Jakob Doornbos played 25 games for the club in 2023, recording a save percentage of 0.870 and a 5.51 goals against average. Since making his league debut in 2018 he has competed in 44 AIHL games and averages a save percentage of 0.878.

Forward Dmitri Kuleshov played 26 games for the Ice Dogs in his 2023 debut season, scoring 16 goals and 18 assists. During the AIHL’s off-season Kuleshov has been playing for the Great Falls Americans in the North American 3 Hockey League where he recorded 53 points from 43 games. He also recently joined the Australian under-20 national team to compete at the 2024 World U20 Championships.

Forward Ivan Kuleshov played 18 games for the club in his 2023 debut season, scoring a goal. Recently Kuleshov represented Australia at the 2024 World U18 Championships and 2024 World U20 Championships.

Defender Matt Musumeci played 20 games for the Ice Dogs in his 2023 debut season, recording two assists.
