Sydney Ice Dogs sign Michael Douglas

The Sydney Ice Dogs have added Canadian defenceman Michael Douglas to their roster for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Douglas spent the 2023–24 season playing for York University in the U Sports system and for the Evansville Thunderbolts and Quad City Storm in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). With York University he competed in eleven games, scoring two goals and an assist. In the SPHL Douglas played seven games with Evansville, recording two points, and two games with Quad City.

Between 2015 and 2024 Douglas has spent time playing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Central Canada Hockey League, Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, the SPHL, and the U Sports system.
