Ice Hockey South Australia (IHSA) has announced that they will provide financial support to Adelaide Rush for the 2025–26 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) season. The assistance from the state association follows a report by Michael West Media that Ice Hockey Australia had cut funding to the AWIHL by 60% after the national association had found their reported losses to be understated. Earlier this week, Ice Hockey Victoria announced that they would be providing financial assistance to the Melbourne Ducks and Melbourne Ice.
