Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) has announced changes to their portfolio directors and personnel. Suzanne Garas has retired as director of the leagues and tournaments portfolio. Garas however will continue on as the National Championships lead for 2026. Veronica Ryan, who currently holds the role of vice president and treasurer as well as the finance, audit risk and compliance portfolio director, will take on the business operations portfolio. Ryan is expected to resign as treasurer once a replacement has been found.
Bill Siegloff departs as the para ice hockey director and Mark Stephenson resigns as the national coaching director. Siegloff is replaced by Lynda Holt whose appointment to the position of head of para ice hockey was announced in April. Michaela Fellowes departs as commissioner of the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League, a position she had held since November 2022. Finally, Tamra Jones joins as the head of women player development, an appointment which was announced in March under the title of head of game development – women.
