With the 2025–26 season having finished in the Northern Hemisphere we thought we would take a brief look at the Australian players who were competing overseas. Today features part 4 of 9 Australians in the United States. The information is collected from Elite Prospects and so might not be fully comprehensive.
Bryce Kitching (NCDC profile): First season playing for Compuware and the Northern Maine Pioneers after spending 2024–25 with Boston Hockey Academy and the Lincoln Stars. Playing for Compuware in the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association’s 18U Division, Kitching competed in one game and recorded an 11.00 goals against average. With the Northern Maine Pioneers, he made one appearance for the team in the National Collegiate Development Conference.
Amelia Knott (Buffalo State profile): First season with Buffalo State University after spending 2024–25 with Lovell Academy. Playing in the NCAA’s Division III, Knott recorded a save percentage of 0.880, a goals against average of 2.49, and one shutout across six games.
Jed Lake (NCDC profile): First season in the United States after spending the last three in Canada. Playing for the Rockets Hockey Club in the National Collegiate Development Conference, Lake recorded 11 goals and 14 assists from 53 games.
Olivia Last (Elmira College profile): First season with Elmira College after spending 2024–25 with St. Olaf College. Playing in the NCAA’s Division III, Last recorded a save percentage of 0.952, a goals against average of 1.12, and four shutouts across 13 games.
Lucas Lian (Gamesheet profile): Second season with Middlesex School and the East Coast Wizards. Playing for Middlesex in the United States High School Preparatory system, Lian recorded seven assists from eleven games. With the East Coast Wizards, he played four games in the Eastern Alliance Kickoff’s U16 Red Division, recording a goal and two assists, and one game in the Beast Series’ 16U Division.
